The Pearl of Sugar Country – feature
Logline:  When a young Spaniard goes to Prohibition-era Cuba to help his dying mother get a life-saving treatment, he learns that money doesn’t come easily or quickly. He gets swindled by a get-rich-quick scheme that costs him his job and his love, Rosa, a high-spirited Cubana, until an accident makes him want a life of love and honor.
The story was inspired by my maternal grandparents.
